Do you have a firewall? You may need to update your firewall settings to allow the LeapFrog Connect application to communicate with the Leapster Explorer handheld.
Either problem with usb wire itself or problem with usb card n the computer.
Try connecting printer or any other usb operating product like webcam to the same usb port and see if that works.
If yes,then reload leapster driver.
If no,then problem with usb port or usb wire itself.
