Intermittent clicking or tapping sound near the middle brake light?

This problem is noticed on Toyota Camry.
Many other Toyota Camry iusers complained about this problem.Basically the noise is heard inside the trunk, but very close (almost in) the passenger compartment. It seems to occur when going over even the slightest bump.

About the only thing that fits the description for the noise that you're describing would have to be either the trunk lid springs/mountings or something in the package tray. The general ideas and things to take to the dealer and hold their feet to the fire to repair it. Trying to insulate either one of these can be time-consuming. This is still covered under three years and 36,000 miles. I would have the dealer use felt backing tape and insulate the trunk spring rods and then remove the packing tray and re-secure and insulate any tabs that secures the package tray into the back sheet-metal panel. It is unlikely anything in the actual sheet-metal itself however I have seen some issues upfront in the strut area where spot welds have a tendency to creak on occasion.
It was a technical service bulletin addressing a knocking or clicking type noise from the strut bumper cushions. This could be from the front or the rear. You might mention it to the dealer and have them inspect these cushions.

This details will help.Thanks.
