Rear view mirror fitting details for 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

The all models of the mirror including the 2012 fit the mounting holes in the 2008.

The details are for rear View mirror that mounts above and centered on the windshield.

The rear view mirror mounts to the roof, not the glass of the windshield.

From 2008 through 2011 because 2012 model option is not available yet from here. The mirror combinations use the same exact part number with minor changes for any color differentials. They all use the two Philip screw bolt pattern which is standardized as far as hole pattern and distance between the two threaded holes. You should have no issues mounting the mirror. It is unlikely that the early production 2012 changed anything.
