Orange O/D warning light flashing on dash?

Common problem.
The O/D light only flashes when there is a malfunction in one of the shift solenoids or the speed sensors.
There are codes stored in cars computer module.

The codes would be stored in the engine control/transmission computer. You can purchase a generic code reader these days for less than $50. If the check engine light illuminates or if the overdrive light starts to flash it should have set a code in the system. Most of the time it ends up being a speed sensor malfunction if the transmission is otherwise shifting normally.
