Transmission Slips out of 2nd gear?

The syncro teeth on 2nd gear are worn causing the syncro ring to slide off when you accelerate. The transmission will need to be torn down and second gear components (gear, syncro ring, shift fork & slider) replaced. This problem more often occurs in 5th gear due to some drivers lugging (driving too slowly in too high of a gear). I do not know your driving habbits and am not suggesting that this can be the only cause of this problem. The only way to correct it is to do the transmission repair or replacement.
