Distributor got wet causing no start on Lincoln car?

Lincoln town cars are famous for this because the rear opening to the hood has been placed right over your distributor so; the rainwater just soaks your distributor. to fix this permanently get a piece of oil roofing paper cut it about 6' wide and glue it over the gap from under the hood this will keep your distributor dry.
