Why is CV boot required?


CV-Boot (Universal) Operation:

The CV boot is a soft and pliable rubber boot packed with a special silicone-based grease that covers the CV joint. The boot holds the lubricant in and keeps water, dirt and debris from entering the joint and wearing down the smooth surfaces of the ball bearings and races.
