How to Replace Dashboard on Acura Integra?

The details with instructions and diagram is as follows :---

It is important to take the time to read all of the steps before beginning this procedure. There are many variations in dashboard design due to trim packages and the placement of airbags therefore this procedure was written as a guide. Do not pull or use excessive force when removing the dashboard. It is fragile and will crack easily. A good rule of thumb is if the dashboard is difficult to pull out, you most likely missed a bolt(s).

Before beginning this procedure, please refer to CHASSIS ELECTRICAL for proper air bag removal procedures.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with an Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), wait three (3) minutes after the battery cable has been disconnected before working on the vehicle.
  3. To remove the dashboard, the following components must be removed:

    Front seats.
    Front and rear consoles.
    Dashboard covers.
    Sunroof switch.
    Glove Box.
    Knee bolster.
  4. Lower the steering column.
  5. Remove the passenger side air bag module.
  6. Detach the air temperature control cable connectors.
  7. Unplug the antenna lead.
To prevent damage to the dashboard when prying, wrap your prytool with tape to pad it.
  1. Detach the connectors from the fuse panel.
  2. Remove the access panels located on each side of the dashboard by the door jam.
