BUSHING REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
The details are as follows :----
Bushing Replacement
The control arm bushings are serviced with the control arms as an assembly.
Removal & Installation
Lower Arm A
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
Lower arm mounting bolt and nutLower arm - Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the bolt to 105 ft. lbs. (142 Nm) and the nut to 47 ft. lbs. (64 Nm).
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
- Support the control arm with a jack.
- Remove or disconnect the following:
WheelStabilizer link from the lower armWheel speed sensor wiring harness from the lower arm. Do not disconnect the connector.Flange bolts that attaches the lower arm to the knuckle - Spring assembly
Inner nuts and bolts and the arm
- Install or connect the following:
Arm, inner bolt and loosely install the nutSpring assembly - Raise the arm into position and install the flange bolt.
- Raise the rear suspension with a floor jack to load the vehicle weight.
Tighten the flange bolt to 54 ft. lbs. (74 Nm) and the inner nut and bolt to 61 ft. lbs. (83 Nm).Wheel speed sensor harnessWheel - Check the vehicle alignment.
