Blower Motor Removal Procedure on Chevy, Buick, Saturn& Pontiac?

The Procedure is Similar for Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana, Saturn Relay, Buick Terraza car models.

Blower motor replacing details with diagram is as follows:----

1. Remove the right side instrument panel (I/P) insulator.
2. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
3. Remove the blower motor screws.
4. Remove the blower motor  
   
   
   
   Fig. Remove the mounting screws (1) to remove the blower motor.

To install:

1. Install the blower motor.
2. Install the blower motor screws.
3. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
4. Install the right side I/P insulator.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Note the auxiliary air components are located in left rear quarter panel.

Remove the rear seats.

Remove the rear upper finish panel trim.

Remove the rear seat belt escutcheons.

Remove the rear seat belt anchor retainer bolts.

Remove the upper cargo net retainers.

Remove the liftgate sill plate.

Remove the rear quarter trim panel retainers.

Feed the seat belts through the openings in the trim panel.

Remove the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.

Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.

Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.

Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct bolts and retainers.

Remove the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.

The auxiliary blower motor must be removed with the blower motor housing.

Remove the auxiliary blower motor housing screws.

Lift the auxiliary blower motor housing and remove from the HVAC module assembly.

Remove the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.

Remove the auxiliary blower motor from the blower motor housing.

To install:

Install the auxiliary blower motor to the blower motor housing.

Install the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws.

Install the blower motor housing to the auxiliary HVAC module assembly. Align the rear tabs of the blower motor housing to the HVAC module.

Install the auxiliary blower motor housing screws.

Install the lower auxiliary air distribution duct.

Install the lower auxiliary air distribution retainers.

Install the lower auxiliary air distribution ducts bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

Connect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.

Connect the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector.

Feed the seat belts through the openings in the trim panel.

Install the rear quarter trim panel from the vehicle.

Install the rear quarter trim panel retainers.

Install the liftgate sill plate.

Install the upper cargo net retainers.

Install the rear seat belt anchor retainer bolts.

Install the rear seat belt escutcheons.

Install the rear upper finish panel trim.

Install the rear seats.
