How to replace Steering Wheel on Acura Car Models?

The procedure is as follows :----

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

CAUTION

All models covered by this guide are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which uses an air bag. Whenever working near any of the SRS components, such as the impact sensors, the air bag module, steering column and instrument panel, disable the SRS .

1. Disable the SRS.
2. If not already done, disconnect the negative, then the positive battery cables.
3. Remove the connector between the air bag and the cable reel.
4. Remove the bolts that hold the air bag module to the steering wheel.

5. Remove the air bag assembly, holding it away from you in case of accidental deployment.
6. Detach the connectors for the horn.
7. If equipped, unplug the cruise control connector.
8. Unfasten the steering wheel nut.
9. Remove the steering wheel by rocking it slowly from side to side while pulling steadily with both hands.

To install:

10. Before installing the steering wheel, center the cable reel by pointing the arrow up. This can be done by rotating the cable reel clockwise until it stops. Then rotate the cable reel about two turns counterclockwise.
11. Install the steering wheel and make sure the wheel shaft engages the cable reel and canceling sleeve.

12. Attach all wires and harnesses.
13. Install the air bag assembly using new bolts.
14. Install all covers.
15. Connect the positive cable first and then the negative. 
16. After installation, confirm normal system operation and that all controls are working.
