How to remove radio on Acura Car models?

The procedure is as follows :----

Radio


REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Radio Receiver Assembly



INTEGRA
See Figure 1

  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the center console.
  4. Remove the cigarette lighter assembly.
  5. Remove the front console.
  6. Loosen the two mounting screws.
  7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.

  1. Remove the antenna lead.
  2. Pull the stereo out of the dash.

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
CL MODELS
  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the center console.
  4. Remove the two screws, then pull the audio unit partially out from the dash to access the wiring.
  5. Detach the wiring harness connector and unplug the antenna lead.
  6. Remove the audio unit from the vehicle.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
TL MODELS
  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the center panel of the dashboard by lightly prying on it.

  1. Detach the connectors from the climate control unit.
  2. Unplug the radio panel and radio/cassette/CD player connectors.

  1. Remove the radio/cassette/CD player from the radio panel.

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
RL MODELS
  1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. On vehicles with navigation system, perform the following steps:
    1. Remove the navigation panel.

  1. Remove the audio panel assembly.

  1. Remove the navigation monitor by removing the four mounting screws.
  2. Loosen the audio mounting screws.
  3. Remove the pins from the navigation bracket.
  4. Remove the audio unit by removing the four screws.
  1. On vehicles without the navigation system, perform the following:

  1. Unfasten the audio unit mounting screws, then remove the audio unit from the vehicle.
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
LEGEND
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the center console.

  1. Remove the two mounting bolts and then the ground cable.
  2. Pull the radio receiver partially out for access to the wiring.

  1. Detach the connectors and the antenna lead, then remove the radio from the vehicle.
  2. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
VIGOR
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the center control panel.
  3. Remove the ashtray.
  4. Disconnect the wiring and then remove the antenna.
  5. Remove the radio panel assembly.
  6. Remove the audio power amplifier by extracting the two screws.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
CD Changer See Figure 12

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Obtain access to the CD changer. On most models, the CD changer is located in such areas as the trunk, glove box, or the interior console.
  3. Remove the CD magazine (the device which actually holds the CD's).
  4. Remove all necessary components to gain access to the CD changer's mounts.
  5. Unfasten the mounting bolts while supporting the changer with your hands.
  6. Pull the unit from the vehicle and remove all wiring from the rear of the CD changer.
  7. Remove the changer from the vehicle.
  8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
