REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Upper Timing Belt Cover/Seal
- Note the radio security code and disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the valve cover.
- Remove the upper timing belt cover.
- Remove the seal from the groove in the cover.
To install:
- Secure the seal in the cover. It may be helpful to use a semi drying gasket sealant to hold the seal in place.
- The remainder of the installation procedure is the reverse of disassembly.
- Enter the radio security code.
- Note the radio security code and disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the accessory drive belts.
- Remove the crankshaft pulley.
- Remove the lower timing belt cover.
- Remove the seal from the groove in the cover.
To install:
- Secure the seal in the cover. It may be helpful to use a semi drying gasket sealant to hold the seal in place.
- The remainder of the installation procedure is the reverse of disassembly.
- Enter the radio security code.
