Accelerator Pump Diaphragm is

A linkage activated plunger-controlled device that delivers an extra squirt of fuel for initial start-ups, start-offs and instant wide open throttle conditions. The pump can be a diaphragm type or a rubber cup that fits onto a plunger shaft. It's usually adjustable by the total length of a stroke.
