If you need dis-assembly or replacement instructions for any other auto/car part, or you want to ask question related to your car/truck jeep problem then please leave the comment with your details, so I can provide you the required instructions and solutions.
The procedure is as follows :----
FUEL LINES AND FITTINGS
CAUTION
Do not smoke while working on the fuel system!
The fuel system is inter-connected using a network of lines and connectors. At times these connectors must be disconnected in order to properly repair the system. Pay careful attention to the following.
See Figures 1 and 2
The fuel tubing connectors are not heat resistant, therefore be careful when doing a welding. Due to the construction of the fuel lines, acid may damage the integrity of the line. Replace the fuel tubing if there is any suspect of an acid or electrolyte contamination. When disconnecting the lines, be cautious not to twist the connectors. As always, replace if damaged.
A disconnected quick disconnect fitting can be re-attached. The retainer on the mating pipe should not be used once disconnected. It should be replaced when:
- Replacing the fuel pump.
- Replacing the fuel feed pipe.
- It has been removed from the pipe.
- It is damaged.
