2006 Ford F 350 Super Duty:---
Got an 06 ford w/ 6.0L diesel, it dies out after about five minutes, like it is losing fuel.Just replaced failing fuel pump module on frame rail. Upon die out you can hear fuel pump on frame still running. Then checking secondary fuel filter housing it is just over half full of fuel. If you let it set over nite all fuel drains out of secondary housing, no obvious leaks.
Took it to car garage.Mechanic told ..............
CHECK THE TORQUE ON THE FUEL FILTER CAP ON THE TOP OF THE ENGINE. SEE IF THE RUBBER O-RING IS INTACT. IF THAT CHECKS OUT THEN LOOK AT THE FUEL LINE GOING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL AT THE FILTER BASE.
The fuel filter cap was worn out,replaced it and all is fine now.
