how to replace spark plugs on 2003 Ford Focus?

Spark plugs:---

Removal & Installation



  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
  2. Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and properly isolate to prevent accidental reconnection.
  3. Remove the ignition coil.
  4. Remove foreign material from the spark plug well with compressed air.
  5. Remove the spark plug.
To install:
  1. Check and adjust the spark plug gap as necessary.
    NOTE
    Spark plug gap should be 0.041-0.045 inch (1.05-1.15 mm)
  2. Install spark plugs and tighten to 9 ft. lbs. (12 Nm)
  3. Reinstall ignition coil.
