How To Replace Control Panel on Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator?


The procedure is similar for both ford and Lincoln car models:-----

The details to replace Control Panel are as follows:---
Removal & Installation:---
Specific to:
Ford Expedition 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2. Remove the lower instrument cluster center finish panel.
  3. Remove the upper instrument cluster center finish panel.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the 4 climate control assembly screws.
  6. Remove the climate control assembly.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Specific to:
Lincoln Navigator 2008-2009
  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2. Apply the parking brake and move the shift lever to NEUTRAL
  3. Disconnect the battery.
  4. Remove the shifter trim ring.
  5. Remove the front floor console finish panel.
  6. Remove the instrument cluster center finish panel screws.
  7. Pull out on the panel to disengage the clips.
  8. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the lower instrument cluster center finish panel.
  10. Remove the 2 lower screws from the upper instrument cluster center finish panel.
  11. Remove the instrument panel defroster grille.
  12. Remove the 2 upper screws from the upper instrument cluster center finish panel.
  13. Remove the upper instrument cluster center finish panel.
  14. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  15. Remove the 4 climate control assembly screws.
  16. Remove the climate control assembly.
  17. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
