Car brake light Functions and details?

Automobile brake lights are designed to warn the drivers behind you that your automobile will be slowing down or stopping. Fundamentally cars have brake lights, on rear of the automobile & on the upper level roof line. The third brake light also called Cyclops light is inter-graded for additional safety.
A brake light electrical technique involves a simple positive & ground technique controlled by a brake light switch.

The brake light electrical circuit is protected by fuse. The brake light switch is connected to the brake pedal. The brake light switch rests in the open position & closed (electrical contacts connected) when the brake pedal is activated. You can fine-tune the brake light switch by moving the main switch housing within the metal bracket. On some automobile models the brake light switches have additional functions like cruise control brake sensor & ignition key interlock function.

The red brake lens can melt/burn when the brake lights are kept on for longer period. This also affects the brake light bulb holder as well.
The American automobile makers have incorporated the brake light circuit in to the turn signal technique, & vice versa.
The Japanese & European manufacturers design the brake & turn signal electrical systems separately. For this reason troubleshooting the same issue will be slightly different from the different styles of manufacturing.
