How To Replace Water Pump on Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator?


The procedure is similar for both ford and Lincoln car models:-----

The Details to replace Water Pump is as follows:----
Removal & Installation:---

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions section.
  2. Drain the engine cooling system.
  3. Remove the cooling fan.
  4. Loosen the 4 coolant pump pulley bolts.
  5. Rotate the belt tensioner clockwise and disconnect the accessory drive belt from the coolant pump pulley.
  6. Remove the 4 bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
  7. Remove the 4 bolts and the coolant pump. Discard the O-ring seal.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure and note the following:
    1. Tighten water pump pulley bolts and water pump mounting bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
