Is it necessary to replace Brake caliper while replacing rotors and brake pads?

The query asked for Toyota Sienna.
Basically its not necessary to replace brake caliper, while replacing brake rotors and brake pads. But many car drivers/owners do it.
If the caliper pistons push in smoothly with a c-clamp and the boots are not torn I would not worry about replacing the calipers. There were not known to freeze up. I would definitely flush the fluid with new brake fluid. There was a TSB on the rear brake drums for noise and shudder. If you are experiencing noise or shudder in the rear brakes it would be a good idea to update them. The shoes usually will go 150000 miles.
This details will help.
Thanks.

Pulsating Brake Pedal?

Pulsation or vibration is noticed when brake pedal is pressed.A shuddering or jerky stop during normal braking.
Customers will feel a vibration or pulsation in the brake pedal when the brakes are applied if a brake rotor is warped. This usually means a warped rotor or an out-of-round drum .
The faces of a disc brake rotor must be parallel.Check the rotors for runout and parallelism. You can often see warp-age in a brake rotor by simply looking at it. A warped rotor should be replaced and is often caused by improper tightening of the wheel lug nuts. In fact, uneven lug nut torque can cause a pulsating brake pedal.Resurfacing the rotor to restore the faces will usually eliminate the pulsation (unless the rotor is bent or is badly worn and has started to collapse in which case the rotor must be replaced). You should be aware that pedal pulsation is normal on vehicles with antilock brake systems (ABSs) when the ABS is working.Pedal pulsation caused by drum warp-age isn't as common, but it can happen. Overheating can also cause rotors to warp. Overheating may be the result of severe abuse or dragging brakes.

Getting this possibilities checked/inspected will help.
