How to replace Speed Sensor on Dodge Ram
Rear Differential speed sensor replacing on 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi
The procedure is as follows:----
Its not very difficult, with basic tools required.
First remove the nut that holds the parking brake cables to the speed sensor.
Then pull the cables off the sensor.
Now unplug it, and remove the bolt/stud that holds the sensor down into the differential.
Then grab the sensor with pliers and twist it. If you pull straight up or try to pry it out you can break it off in the housing. Pull it up while twisting it back and forth, along with some penetrating oil and you'll be fine.
