Ticking noise at the top end on Toyota Tundra?

Its not a common noise.Its a problem.
I would disagree with that assessment that this is normal. The V-6 engine 3.4 L was a very smooth and quiet engine. the V8 engine on the other hand did have a tendency to make some noise when cold. if you're getting a high-end tick noise I would remove the valve covers and inspect the valve clearances to make sure nothing is going on in there.
